2. Definition of E-commerce


What is ecommerce?

The trading of goods and services on the internet is known as ecommerce or electronice commerce. It is a digital version of a store where customers can shop from their devices without having to physically be present in the store (Amazon.com, 2023).
 
Ecommerce is one of the many methods customers use to buy and bussiness to sell. In recent years, online only bussinesses have been booming due to the pandemic and may continue to grow.

What is an ecommerce website? 

Digital store that allows transactions between a buyer and a seller is an ecommerce website. It showcases the seller's products and services. Also, has staff to monitor transactions, orders and suport their customers.

6. Analysis and comparison of 2 e-commerce websites

Analysis and comparison between;  SuperDry vs Mountain Warehouse  E-commerce Website Evaluation The above diagram points out the major similarities between two websites  https://www.mountainwarehouse.com/  and  https://www.superdry.com/ . Both of the websites sell clothing related products, however MountainWarehouse aims towards an outdoor audience and SuperDry focuses on premium/designer style.  They have multiple pages like product, order, FAQ, home, etc. Both have social media links (Twitter, Facebook, Youtube and Instagram) but only Superdry has contact link. Add to bag/cart button is available on both and they sell internationally. Their pages are interlinked to the navigation bar and Superdry has 3 navigation tabs, MountainWarehouse has 11 tabs.   UX (User Experience) Evaluation Superdry and MountainWarehouse both have easy to navigate design but Superdry may be more user-friendly due to large product images.
