There are many different types of e-commerce businesses and some major ones are listed below with examples.

Business to business (B2B)

DHgate is one of the popular wholesale e-commerce websites based in China. The businesses use this platform to contact and buy products in bulk from businesses.

Business to consumer (B2C)

Marks & Spencer (M&S) sells products from multiple categories for its customers, ranging from food to clothing.


Consumer to consumer (C2C)
Preloved is a website where users can post and sell second hand items to other users.



Consumer to Business (C2B)

Businesses can hire freelancers for their professional services through Upwork and earn money from the completed projects.


Government to consumer (G2C)

The people paying taxes to the government for public services is one of the great examples of G2C.

Analysis and comparison between;  SuperDry vs Mountain Warehouse  E-commerce Website Evaluation The above diagram points out the major similarities between two websites  https://www.mountainwarehouse.com/  and  https://www.superdry.com/ . Both of the websites sell clothing related products, however MountainWarehouse aims towards an outdoor audience and SuperDry focuses on premium/designer style.  They have multiple pages like product, order, FAQ, home, etc. Both have social media links (Twitter, Facebook, Youtube and Instagram) but only Superdry has contact link.
